Dr. David Kim is an award-winning, double board-certified, Harvard-trained pain management physician and anesthesiologist. He completed both his residency and fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where he was awarded the Donald P. Todd Award for Excellence in Pain Management and the Raymond Zbick Award for Excellence in Anesthesiology, which are only awarded to a single recipient annually. During his training tenure, Harvard University was ranked the #1 Medical School in the Country and his residency was ranked the #1 Hospital in the Nation per U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll. His fellowship program has been ranked the Top Pain Management Fellowship in the Nation by both the American Pain Society and the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

He holds three separate Ivy League Degrees, including the two aforementioned from Harvard, a Bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master’s from the University of Colorado and a Doctorate from the University of Illinois in Chicago. While at Harvard, Dr. Kim worked as a consultant for healthcare ventures in reducing societal opioid burden and establishing national standards for pain excellence.

In his first few years of practice, Dr. Kim was recognized as a Rising Star Doctor from both regional and national publications. He was also awarded with the Top Doctors designation from both Castle Connolly and Austin Monthly Magazine. Recipients of these awards are recognized based on peer nominations and acknowledgement of outstanding accomplishments and dedication to the field of medicine. As a Top Doctor, Dr. Kim represents one of the top 7% of all nationally-recognized doctors in the U.S across all major specialities. Dr. Kim was born and raised in Denver and currently resides in Austin with his wife, two sons, and puppy. He is an avid basketball fan and in his spare time enjoys playing golf (although he's not very good at it) and exploring new local food spots with his family.
